No matter your location, our 1975 VW Camper Van, Gypsea, will help you to enjoy this very moment. So stop and take in the beauty of Maui. Watch the waves crash on the shore. Lilikoi was a dream. We spent a few days of our honeymoon exploring Maui and the Hana Highway with this eye catching machine. Everything you would expect from a '72 with a few upgrades to the interior, a smooth running engine and a great stereo to play tunes and charge your electronics. The owners were great, really good at setting up our trip and answering questions, and although we didn't need it, we were confident that they would be there if we ran into any trouble on the road (which we didn't). So highly recommended. Take an extra day, you will not regret it!

Renting Gypsea was by far the best idea we had when we planned our trip to Hawaii. The communication with Brandon beforehand was very easy and friendly and he also gave us tips regarding camping on Maui. Apart from a few little hick-ups, which are of course normal when riding a 1975 T2 VW, we had no bad experiences.
Gypsea is a very old lady and needs to be handled very gently. She may have some characteristics, but if you have a general understanding of how old German engines/vehicles and of course manual transmission work, then you should definitely rent a Gypsea adventure! It's absolutely worth it!

We stay on on Maui for 10 days, but only had this beauty for 4 total days. Looking back on the trip, the best days were the ones where we drove Lilikoi. We were able to drive on the island and not worry about getting back to the hotel at the end of the night. We also were able to enjoy the beauty of the stars at night on the ocean and watch the sunrise in the morning. THERE was great and made sure we had everything we needed. He made sure we knew everything we needed to about the van and filled the tank up before we left. I would definitely recommend and am looking forward to using THERE on our next trip to Maui!

My husband and I had a wonderful time with Gypsea cruising around Hana. It was the perfect way to take our time and explore the island. We highly recommend it to anyone wanting to make great memories for their next adventure.

We loved our Journey with Lilikoi around Maui. It was a beautiful adventure riding with this classic car down to Hana, up to the west and also visiting the Lavafields in the south of Maui. Brandon and Klara have been super nice and uncomplicated to us. Thanks a lot, we‘ve enjoyed our time on Maui

Our experience with Gypsea was amazing! We will definitely rent her again! The picture opportunities and the attention we garnered when we drove her down Front Street or basically anywhere was exciting!

Driving Gypsea around Maui was a one of a kind experience!! We are a family of four with a 7 and an 11 year old. For a Maui camping experience, it fit us well. We camped at Wai’anapanapa and Camp Olowalu. The kids loved sleeping in the “bunk bed”!

My girlfriend surprised me by renting Gypsea during our recent trip to Maui. What a wonderful car!! I've owned various Beetles and even a Type 3 Vw Squareback but never owned or ever driven a Volkswagen Bus.

Without a doubt the best way to see Maui! Beautiful camper and we were amazed at how well it coped with the tougher roads on the east of Maui. We’ll definitely be booking again next time we’re back.

Gypsea was amazing, a unique experience and a great conversation starter with locals. My favourite thing was cooking meals in the van at night under a star filled sky. The perfect way to travel around maui!

It’s been an exceptional time exploring maui in this outstanding van. We never would have expected such a comfortable sleep - no camping tent and even many of those hotel beds don‘t get any close. Just park it anyway and your room is already there for you. First class sea view included.
Driving it was so easy because of such good introductions. Thanks a lot for this and all the support. We would definitely love to be back in the Van the next time traveling to Maui!
