Hey there! My wife and I are restaurateurs working mostly in Asia, but we call Irvine, CA our home. We bought our beautiful Winnebago View in 2015 right before we found out we would be relocating to Shanghai for work. We drove it around the country and got to see some amazing places you can't go with a larger motor home. We have been renting the RV out while overseas. Although we are back in the USA now, we still love sharing our RV with other families and couples looking to go explore the open road! We have always traveled with our young daughter (the RV fits a car seat perfectly) and our dog comfortably. I know the RV like the back of my hand so I will always be available to help if you can't figure something out during your trip! Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Michael was a fantastic host and totally responsive to our questions. The RV is very roomy and the bed is very comfortable. Michael was very helpful in dropping the RV off to our local site and then picking it up when our trip was over.

STAY AWAY from this owner. He cancelled our Thanksgiving RV rental ON OUR WAY TO PICK IT UP. When he did that, he made multiple ridiculous excuses and demands in an effort to get me to cancel. Instead, I agreed to his demands. He cancelled anyway, indicating that I was unsafe or unsavory somehow. I am a gold star person with a perfect driving record and great credit. Outdoorsy made it right by giving me a FULL refund and a substantial cash payment on top of it. Only use this owner if you want your family vacation to be ruined at the very last moment for no reason. And if you want to be insulted on top of it. I am surprised Outdoorsy is keeping him. BEWARE.

I wish there were a way to remove this comment due to the COMPLETE misrepresentation of facts here. Unfortunately, the Outdoorsy website indicated that Lynn was uninsured and explicitly stated to NOT hand the RV off to her until she was able to complete the process.The more problematic issue with Lynn was that she was very difficult to get a hold of and she was NOT happy with me that the website was giving her issues and insisted that she had completed the process. Outdoorsy is a third party to our rental agreement. If they are telling me that you are uninsured and didn't complete the process and you call me yelling and screaming that it's my fault - wouldn't that be a red flag? Unfortunately, that's what happened here. It wasn't until the day of the rental that she finally answered her phone and it was not a pleasant phone call. I had no demands or excuses other than please make sure you complete the insurance process. She did not.

The trip was Great. Mike was a pleasure dealing with. The coach was in great shape. No problems. Took out to Casper's Park for my wife to Horse camp, she was the envy of the group. Thank you Mike for making it so easy.

This was my first time RVing and I was a bit apprehensive driving a large vehicle, but Mike's RV laid all that worry to rest and did not disappoint. I found it easy to drive and maneuver and were comfortable once we were hooked up in our campground site. The bed (mattress, sheets, comforter) provided by Mike was comfortable enough (NOTE: I am not a picky sleeper). It was just my wife and I (plus a dog) so we had a lot of room and didn't have to use the other beds. We also cooked our meals and used the microwave which was great and stored leftovers in the fridge.Unfortunately, I could not give full marks for Cleanliness and Value. The RV was clean inside but the hose Mike provided for dumping is old and worn with holes(!) in them. Luckily, I noticed it while dumping gray water first, otherwise, it would have made for a really gross situation (like Robin Williams' RV movie, if you've seen it). Good thing there was a second, shorter hose that worked once I moved the RV to position it closer to the sewer dump. Disaster was averted, but a bad dumping hose should never have been left there for us to use. I told Mike about it and he's going to throw it out so to the future drivers of this RV, you're welcome.As for Value, I rented it because I thought it was relatively new (2015 model), but the odometer was already at 90,000 miles when I picked it up. Also, insurance was required so it added another $30+ a day to the cost. All in all, it cost me more than $240 a night (before additional charges like mileage and propane). For comparison, I had two other choices before settling on this, a 2018 model for about the same price, and a really old RV for half the price but only had 50,000 miles on it. Honestly, I picked this one because I saw and was blinded by the Mercedes-Benz brand, but in the end, the brand alone can't justify the cost.Overall, the experience of renting through Outdoorsy was a very smooth process, and Mike was quick to respond to my questions and messages. Mike also made me feel that he will be ready to help out if we have any problem with his RV. He even offered to schedule repairs while we were at the campsite when we had issues with a couple of lights blinking and not turning on. I declined his offer because it was a minor issue but it goes to show how responsive and quick to help he is in case.

Hi, Larry! Thanks for renting my RV for your first RV adventure! Very sorry about the hose. The last renter told me they bought a new one and provided me with the receipt and said that they threw the old one away! Sooo sorry about that - Thank goodness you caught it before dumping the tanks! Just in case anyone else who will be renting the RV reads this, PLEASE make sure to always dump the black tank FIRST, and then the gray tank. The gray tank washes away all of the gross stuff that might be left inside the pipe!As for the value portion of your review, I'm not sure what outdoorsy charges renters, but I only get the listed rental price + a flat $50 cleaning fee minus the websites 20% share. There are no hidden fees from my end and everything is listed before you are even asked to put down a deposit! I know that outdoorsy charges renter's for insurance, but that covers them too, so it is mandatory and not something I have any control over (in fact, I don't even know how much renters have to pay!) Also, my RV is running with a Mercedes Benz Diesel engine (so mileage isn't really a factor in the value of renting the RV - as long as I take good care of it - which I do! :)

Everything was perfect except one small hiccup during the pickup but we eventually figured it out and fixed the issue. He is a very kind and helpful guy and went out of his way to make sure everything was the okay. I would definitely rent this RV again

This was my 1st time renting, using or camping with an RV. So, my experience will be based on that opening statement.
My first lesson learned is and advise to anyone renting an RV from any organization or individual is to see the unit before agreeing to rent it, think of it as a blind date, the pic’s on the web aren’t always current or a true representation of that your getting.
This unit has a number of issues had I know about them, I wouldn’t have rented it.
We spent the 1st hour cleaning the unit.
The screen door was wired to the main door, therefore not useable; the privacy screen didn’t roll up and there was a hole in the screen.
The cushions around the table were stained and dirty.
The outside speakers had a lot of static noise coming from them and the remote control didn't work.
The mattress wasn’t comfortable.
The ref was very shallow and only one door shelf, didn't hold a lot of food.
The fresh water fill plug was a joke.
No leveling jacks or blocks were provide.
Had to use a lighter to get the stove to lit, the sparker didn't always work.

Hi Marc,Unfortunately, the renter who returned the RV before you returned it with a hole in the screen door and I did not have enough time to have it repaired before your trip (this was mentioned beforehand, however, and renters always have the option to back out at no penalty when something on my end would negatively affect the trip). When we met for the final walk through, you mentioned that the stove and the remote control did not work - However, I had no problem operating it. Also, leveling jacks are not an option on the listing and are never something I offer (my RV is not equipped with that equipment).Thank you for your comments, but in the interest of fairly representing myself and the amount of time I put in making the rental process as smooth as possible, I think this is a great opportunity to let other renters who may read this know a few things:
1) I spend about 1 hour with all of my renters doing a thorough training on all aspects of how to use the RV and am always available throughout the entire rental period.
2) RVs are hotels on wheels and there are almost certainly going to be some small details that I can't compete against a brand new RV on. My RV has been online and rented out since 2015 and the RV itself is a 2015 model - the rental price reflects that quite well. For a brand new version of the same RV, you're easily looking at $225-$250 per night.

We had a great experience with Mike and his RV! Very clean, comfortable and no issues with anything along the way. AC, fridge, TV/DVD worked perfectly and easy to operate. RV drove smooth and easy to park. Mike was personable and was readily available on text/phone with any questions we had throughout our entire trip. We will definitely rent from him again, and highly recommend others to do so too!
