About Mike's RV rentals

We are a Veteran Air Force family in Alaska! In addition to sharing our travel trailer in Alaska, we have cabins and tent sites on property we own in NC. My ancestors have owned the land our NC cabins sit on since 1836. In fact, my mother grew up there after my Grandfather returned from WWII, when there was no electricity and the outhouse was a bench over the creek. I grew up exploring the mountains with my brothers and our BB guns. When we were stationed in Alaska for 6 heavenly years - we purchased a remote parcel of property and have slowly developing it. We put a cabin in the fall of 2023. It's the PERFECT RV camping spot "Denali View". Combined with the Motorhome - it really is Denali's Doorstep. Thanks for reading this little tidbit about us. We love to explore the mountains and are excited to share our RVs with you.

Great time with the rental. Everything came as advertised. No issues during the pick up or drop off. Was able to plug right in and everything worked. Had heat or cooling when needed. No complaints from us or the dogs.

First I have to say the photos in the listing do not do this RV justice! It is SO cute and cozy, it was perfect for what we wanted. The bed was warm and cozy, the heater worked just fine and she did great driving through the snow! Mother Nature had other plans for our adventure. The host Mike was fabulous all the way from inquiry to drop off, I had so many questions but he never got annoyed with me. He was VERY informative and offered great suggestions when we picked up the RV. I am looking forward from returning and renting again!

We rented this unit because it was a cost-effective option compared to other newer rigs. We logged over 600 miles in 6 days and had plenty of opportunity to put it through its paces. Additionally, we have been campers in various pop-ups and RVs through the last decade, so we’re well-acquainted with campers and familiar with handling anything that comes up. The following is provided for the benefit of future renters.
Pros — The RV provides ample space. Our family of 5 had sufficient room to live happily for the week, even without extending the slide-out. Two of our kids enjoyed the loft over the cab. Another slept on the sofa-conversion. We found the queen bed to be quite comfortable. The water tank was ample for our dry camping needs (presuming you know about camper battery systems). The inside stove works fine, and the availability of pans and utensils was a plus. In general, the unit is nicely stocked, including bedding, which were key distinctions in why we chose the rig. The engine ran fine and never gave any cause for concern, and the tires looked to be in good shape. The tank was full of gas as we started our journey, and the 55-gallon tank meant we never had to worry about running low while traveling between national parks. Also, having a built-in generator is convenient if needed.

Renting with Mike was fantastic. We took our four kids to my mom's for thanksgiving but with the other 5 grandkids visiting there wasn't enough room for us all to stay. It made our trip to Nana's possible and extra fun! Four kiddo thumbs up who delightfully exclaimed "best nana trip ever!!"

The trip was a 16th birthday celebration for my daughter and 3 of her friends. The camper was a perfect set up and so well decorated and appointed. We had a wonderful weekend at Gloucester Point. Owner was great with communication and very accommodating. Highly recommend

Perfect trip!! We had the best time staying in Mike’s camper. Mike was such an amazing host. He was super easy to communicate with leading up to the trip. At set up he even took the time to explain to our boys what he was doing with setting everything up which was super cool for them. He made everything easy and seamless! Mike’s camper and the whole experience truly exceeded our expectations. The bed is ridiculously comfortable and the towels are really plush. The camper is so clean and cozy and had everything we needed for cooking meals, hanging out at the campsite, etc. Not sure we’ll ever camp in a tent again!

Mike is simply outstanding! He delivered the camper, set it up, and made sure we understood all we needed for a successful trip. His personal touches to the camper were perfect and we felt right at home. We highly recommend him and outdoorsy!

Wow! Where do we begin?! We rented Mike's RV to give our family a safe as possible socially distanced summer vacation. We chose to park at a small campground in Williamsburg to take in the area the best we could in the searing heat and humidity. First, Mike was fantastic. He set up the RV, communicated all we needed to know and was easy to reach with any questions. Second, the trailer was immaculately clean. It is well appointed with plush towels, nice bedding and comfortable beds. It also came with camping gear such as folding chairs, some toys for the kids, items for roasting marshmallows and items needed in the kitchen. While in the area we hiked at various parks including Waller Mill Park near the campground. While visiting Yorktown beach, we kayaked and swam in the York River. We visited the American Revolution Museum in Yorktown as well as hiked and toured the Yorktown Battlefield. We visited the Jamestown Settlement's indoor and outdoor living history museum and took in a Haunted Williamsburg tour in Colonial Williamsburg. While there we also hit Pirate's Cove mini-golf followed by snocones at Sno To Go in Williamsburg. When we weren't taking in the sites we swam at the campground pool and rested in the air conditioned trailer until it cooled down enough to venture back out. We had SO much fun on our trip and are so thankful to Mike and his wife for allowing us to rent their trailer. They definitely helped us save summer!
