James is an excellent host, responding quickly to any questions we had and thoughtfully equipping his van. Quality of provided amenities was TOP NOTCH, and he provided everything we needed. He even provided a dog tie out cable that we used so our dogs had more freedom around the campsites! It is clear that James cares for his van - both in cleanliness and operation. Highly recommend!

Loved the van with her beauty and rugged good looks! Was truly a home away from home. Clean and equipped with necessities. James was a great communicator, quick and helpful with his responses. Would rent from him again !

We were amazed at how well organized this vehicle is! They designed it with a lot of attention to detail, and it was really easy to live in it. It drives well so we had no problem maneuvering through camping areas and the water tank and batteries made it a breeze to find overnight spots pretty much anywhere.
James obviously takes great care of the vehicle, we had no problems whatsoever. I recommend watching his video--it really helps you take full advantage of all the features. Also, the flexibility on the pickup/dropoff times really made it easy to start and end the trip.
Highly recommended!

What an incredible rental, this vehicle and experience far surpassed our expectations. My girlfriend and I took our first trip in a camper van like this and it was a total hit. The Storyteller Overland has absolutely everything we needed for our weeklong journey up the coast. It was comfortable to sleep in, we cooked two meals a day in it, used the shower, and were quite comfy. We brought our bikes with us and put them on the exterior bike racks and it was very easy. James has this rig outfitted with everything you would possibly need for a trip. Having the starlink onboard was a huge hit as we would work from anywhere along our journey.

Has a great trip and James was a great host. He had the van well stocked with anything you may need and more! Very quick to respond when messaging him with questions throughout our trip. His walk-through video on youtube was super helpful pre-trip and during. Highly recommended!

First, the host James was great! He is patient, responsive and very informative. This was my first experience and learned a lot. The van was easy to use and in terrific shape with all the things you need to be self sufficient on the road. My dogs were with me and while it was a challenge at times, they had great fun on the adventures during our 8 day trip. It was very convenient to be able to park in a regular spot. You are in good hands with James and his van and would highly recommend!

The host James was wonderful to work with - easy and quick communication. The van was exactly as pictured and described. His how-to video was really helpful. We brought our two small dogs and they had a great time! The chairs and rug/mat were very useful.

Perfect van for our seven day trip into Death Valley. The rig was incredible and well outfitted with everything we needed. James was an amazing host, and shared his knowledge and experience with his vans which was very helpful as someone who has been considering owning one in the future. Highly recommended!

Hi fellow travellers!
We were looking for a camper van to spend Christmas holidays and explore California, and we are very happy that we chose El Capitan from James. Great vehicle, perfectly handles the road and you have literally everything you might need inside, from towels and toilet paper, to hot shower and heater, if you suddenly feel hot - there is an AC too.
James is amazing host too, very responsive (I wrote him a few times with questions I had), very flexible and friendly. If you want to have great vacation with no headaches - contact James and book from him.
I’m usually not the guy who would say so many nice things, but in this case I couldn’t resist.

James Sprinter van was everything we thought it would be and more. His video was very thorough. I recommend watching it a few times unless you are well versed in RV operations. The van itself was extremely clean and he provides everything you could possibly need for a few days on the road and in the woods.

Had the best time! James video that he 1st sends you when you rent is so helpful as he explains everything you will need to know!! Everything was very clean and easy to use! Extremely easy to drive and people definitely looked at us we drove through the beautiful coastal roads of California! I was able to fit a large crate under bed for my 8 month old Aussie who eventually loved being co pilot for the entire drive. We had a rv plug in site but didn’t need to use! We were completely off grid as the van recharged its batteries fast and efficiently! Van heater heated within 20 minutes before bed and warm all night!! I highly recommend James and his vans!! You can tell lots of thought went into equipping this amazing travel van!! We travel to Van Dam State Park in Little River in Mendocino County then we traveled up to Trinidad, California and then to Fern Canyon!!

James has the perfect van to rent! Extremely well stocked and thought out. Super comfortable travel and sleeping arrangements. We had an awesome trip up the coast and James was very flexible and communicative. Would definitely rent from him again.
